Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev won his initial title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.

The Russian, a former world number one, has had a challenging season, managing just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.

His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in particular - led to him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.

Currently collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.

This marks the player's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from that period of 2023.

Victory also indicates he has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.

"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.

His defensive play style and recurring emotional displays on court had caused observers to question if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.

But the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and compete positively, supported by an improved serve.

Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.

The competitors swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.

Moutet defended 4 initial opportunities in a tight final set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.

Fittingly, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
